Presence Display for Cisco is a simple to use application activated by the user at the telephone set. Once activated the Presence Display Service allows the user to take complete control of their telephone to inform others within the organization of their whereabouts.
So now when an internal user calls an IP phone implemented the caller receives a message on their IP phone display indicating the reason the call is not being answered and where the user is.
If linked to presence platforms this can pull
information from calendar applications etc and display next free time (requires
Microsoft Office Live Communications Server 2007 or later).
